The Little Red House It is always our goal to provide guest with the rustic beauty and charm, while providing all the modern conveniences of home. We have taken pride in our home, as it is the home in which we raised our two girls. Cleanliness is always our first priority along with comfort. Two Ionizer are used for 6-8 hours and then the windows in the home are left open overnight. All bedding is washed in hot water. Both bedrooms have luxurious beds, bedding and pillows for a perfect nights sleep. The backyard gives you the solitude of a parklike setting. Our Redwood Outdoor shower is a real treat! Wow, it is amazing the new growth on our hillside. Our home and entire street survived the Carr Fire, July 25,2018. Guests are welcome to use several lovely outdoor dining gazebos and a BBQ is available as well. Limited laundry use is available upon request. Our above-ground pool is available between May 1 and September 30. Children under the age of 16 must have parental supervision at all times. The grounds surrounding the property will park larger SUVs and small to medium sized trailers. Several guests have parked bass boats on the property but the larger boats don't navigate easily. Boat parking is available on the street adjacent to the property and the street itself has very little traffic because of its quiet location. We love children but the cottage is not set up for those under the age of 12. We love pets as well but regretfully cannot allow them to join you on your visit. We have 3 Cal King Beds, One Queen Bed and a Queen Pullout Sofa in the living room. Spacious and lots of areas to relax in and out of the house. This is a very quiet neighborhood, many of the Dr's and Proffesional's of the area live here. Please note that there is a police shooting range within earshot, that you may hear on occasion. Heat Pump: We have installed a high caliber top of the line heat pump for our pool in September 2020, which extends our swimming season several months (either side of winter). The heat pump uses ambient air temperature to heat the pool during the day. Our installer says we should be able to swim in the pool through November and start using the pool as early as February/March. Our pool temperatures dropped in September to 73 degrees and after we installed the heat pump the temperature went back up to above 80 degrees. Since it’s new, we don’t know exactly how it will work, but certainly it has been great so far!!

Just through the 2nd bedroom is our newest addition to the Cottage, a beautiful sitting room. This room is by far one of the best features of Hummingbird Cottage. With a wrap around view of the back yard, you feel like you are in a secret garden. The large windows open to let in the early morning cool breeze, and the morning light floods the room. The chair by the window beckons - grab a good book, and relax! It is private, quiet, and so very serene and lovely. A perfect spot for an afternoon nap. The Laundry room has a new washer and dryer. The washer works fast and efficiently, as does the dryer. You will find a few laundry pods of organic, natural, scent free Seventh Generation soap, as well as natural whitening cleanser to get your laundry needs started. The kitchen of Hummingbird Cottage is filled with light. You will find all of your modern appliances - coffee maker, electric kettle, Melitta pour-over coffee carafe & filter, crockpot, blender, toaster, casserole dishes, cookie sheets, new pots and pans, glassware, cutlery. There is even an old Betty Crocker cookbook for those of you who want to take a trip through time, back to grandma's recipes, and look up an old favorite. The stove, oven, microwave and refrigerator are modern and new! The new walnut dining table has four comfortable chairs. In the small closet in the kitchen, you will find one of the many secrets of Hummingbird Cottage - one of its' 2 hidden chimneys! If you find the other one, let us know..... The little dining nook is lovely, put up the blinds, open the windows, and enjoy the breeze, bird song, and if you're here in the spring, you will have the show of your life - hummingbirds own the bottle brush tree just outside the windows! They will sometimes hover right in front of the window, and stare right in at you! Makes you wonder who is watching who! As you may have guessed, Hummingbird Cottage took its' name from these lovely visitors. All the window shades are new black out shades, and only take a light touch to raise or lower - they really help with insulation from both heat and cold, and add to the privacy of Hummingbird Cottage.

You’ll love our place because it's on a quiet tree lined street in the desirable Garden Tract. Walking distance to downtown, Civic Center, Turtle Bay, Sundial Bridge, and the River Trails. 8 minute drive to Bethel Church. This is an older home that has been renovated. It still needs some updates but it is a great little house if you aren't too picky about everything being modern or brand new.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families for 30 night minimum stay. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and closet. The 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed and 2 twin size bunk beds. The bathroom has a shower/tub combo. There is a 2nd studio apartment unit on the back of the property that is also available for rent should you need it for larger groups.

This gorgeous home is located in a private cove of Lake Shasta. This home has it all. The privacy of the cove allows you to moor your boat at the house safely. It is also great for fishing, swimming or just relaxing on the water. The backyard has three levels which tier down to the water. This gem is so beautiful and peaceful that it is a great place to hold family reunions and retreats. Walk outside your balcony and enjoy breathtaking views every day. At night relax around the large fire pit under the stars. After a long day of fun soak into the jacuzzi hot tub for total relaxation. A bit about our Studio guest house.... The studio sits behind our main house with a gate that gives you privacy. Once you park in your covered parking space, you will enter to the right to find the front door to the studio. To get to the Studio from the Alley.. When you go down the Alley, you will see the "back" wall of the studio ( there is a image of the corrugated metal so you know what you are looking for) Next to that is your covered parking . The king size bed is new and a very comfortable memory foam mattress. There is a TV and ready for you to watch... Netflix is available for your enjoyment. Wifi is available. The 3rd sleeping arrangement can either be on the couch (it doesn t fold out) or we can get you a Ikea twin floor mattress, which ever you prefer.

Getting around Being a central location, walking is doable and as mentioned can take up to 30 minutes walking to get to Bethel or 10 minutes to the shops. The public transport system is limited.
